So what’s your opinion on the best island in the Caribbean? Better yet, the best island in the WORLD? Well, U.S. News & World Report believes that one of the Caribbean’s very own belongs in the top three best islands in the world – St. Kitts & Nevis! The duo islands located in the Eastern Caribbean fell behind Maldives (located in the Indian Ocean) and Bora Bora – located in French Polynesia and described as the Cadillac of Paradise. So what did the report have to say about St. Kitts & Nevis?
“Why Go: It’s no wonder that these two islands attract celebs in droves. Who wouldn’t want to spend their vacation sprawled across golden-brown sands, exploring ancient fortresses, or noshing on fried conch? St. Kitts & Nevis offer their visitors an authentic Caribbean experience, from the history exhibited at the Brimstone Hill Fortress to the drinks served at the shack-like beach bars. And note that both islands boast spectacular shorelines, so you can’t go wrong with either.”
St. Kitts beat out Fiji, Maui, and Santorini located in the Mediterranean. Other Caribbean islands that made the list include the Cayman Islands, St. Martin – St. Maarten and the U.S. Virgin Islands all coming in at number 8, 9 and 10.
Next time you decide to head to the Caribbean, check out St. Kitts & Nevis to see the beautiful beaches, stunning emerald water and amazing culture nestled in the small islands.
