Virgin Airlines Chic New Spa

Virgin Airlines doesn’t fly many places, but the places it does go, and the style it travels in, is fabulous. Virgin, whose American hub serves out of New York, recently introduced their swank new spa in their Upper Class lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The lounge is the first Clubhouse spa outside of London and features amazing amenities for those traveling on the go.

Within the 1,000 square foot clubhouse, you can get a blowout, massage and even a facial between flights. It was designed by Slade Architecture with a Bumble and Bumble salon and facials offered by using Dr. Hauschka products. There is also a beauty coordinator, Rebecca Creer who directs all flight attendants and uniformed staff on their makeup.

When asked exactly about the New York spa, she stated, “the spa offers services that are calming and sleep inducing, like back massages, radiant facials and hot stone massage. We use the holistic skin care line range Dr. Hauschka. The salon is Bumble and Bumble. We do great blowouts. You can have beauty and grooming services, get on your flight, put on pajamas and go to sleep. You arrive at Heathrow, and there is a revival lounge with a small spa room, if you’d like a quick facial, or polish change, or a shave, and of course showers to complete the journey.”

So the next time you fly Virgin out of NYC, be sure to pamper yourself before your final destination.
